Popis: |
Hematologic cancers are heterogeneous diseases, defined by hematopoietic myeloid or lymphoid cell tumors, derived from the bone marrow or the lymphatic system. The treatment is based on intensive chemotherapy and sometimes hematopoietic stem cell transplants. The damage caused by cancer and its treatments are responsible for a major deterioration in the quality of life, as well as chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression and difficulties performing social and professional activities. Adapted physical activity programs improve functional aptitudes and reduce perceived fatigue without causing adverse effects. It should be considered in the management of hematologic patients. |
