Popis: Objectives. Peruvian adaptation of Money test (Eurotest) in screening of cognitive impairment in older adults ( 60 years). Materials and methods. This is a phase I study of diagnostic test with convenience sampling and calculation of sensitivity and specificity. The pretest prevalence was 50%. The criteria of the DSM IV (The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) and Global Deterioration Scale (GDS) was used for the operational definition of patients with cognitive impairment. To find the cutoff the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) was used. Results. The patients studied were 42 cases and 42 controls, there was no significant difference between age (77,88 + 6.01 and 6,49 76,14+ years) and years of education (13,69 + 3,70 and 8,17 + 4,71). Peruvian version of the Eurotest has a sensitivity of 90,5% and specificity of 83,3% with cutoff of 24. Conclusions. Peruvian adapted version of the Eurotest, called peruvian money test could be useful in screening for cognitive impairment in older adults.
