Popis: Retrosplenic colonic interposition is a rare anatomical variant which involves an aberrant positioning of the colon between the spleen and the left hemidiaphragm. Cross-sectional imaging, particularly preoperative computed tomography, plays a critical role in identifying this variant. Recognition of a retrosplenic colonic interposition is essential in certain surgical procedures for ensuring appropriate management tailored to individual patient anatomy and minimizing complications. To our knowledge, this is the first case report describing retrosplenic colonic interposition during colonic resection.
