Callovian corals from the Swiss Jura

Popis: Abstract Twelve solitary and platy, colonial coral taxa assigned to the families Microsolenidae, Misistellidae, Montlivaltiidae, Rayasmiliidae, and Thamnasteriidae are described and illustrated from the Callovian (Ifenthal Formation, Herznach Member) of the area of Andil near Liesberg, about 20 km WSW of the town of Basel, Switzerland. The platy growth forms and the presence of five species of the superfamily Cyclolitoidea suggests that these corals lived under low-level light conditions.
