COVID-19, unlike the other regions of the country, reached the land of Mercury with the exodus from the city to the countryside, of the children residing in the capital, carrying with them the Coronavirus that massively infected the population. In this article we address and analyze, from a tripartite perspective, the crisis of the phenomenal event, an opportunity to reflect on relevant issues –which go beyond the economic or biopolitical approach– for the human being: the meaning of life, the allin or sumaq kawsay (good living); the human condition of mortality; how to articulate social isolation with mental health and uncertainty; individualism versus Andean collectivism. Finally, we address corruption in health, education and even in humanitarian support. Knowing that these are fundamental pillars for the development of the family, the people and the nation.
