Popis: Calcium carbonates (CaCO3) often accumulate in mangrove and seagrass sediments. Here the authors conducted a meta-analysis of inorganic carbon burial rates in mangrove and seagrass sediments and found that CaCO3 burial contributes to Blue Carbon ecosystems’ capacity to offset sea-level rise without undermining the role as CO2 sinks.
