Background. To determine the need for types and the need to carry out rehabilitation measures in patients with neck wounds in the remote postoperative period. To achieve this goal, remote results were studied (at least 10 years after wound treatment) in 129 patients with different neck wounds. At the same time, 67 (52 %) were treated for gunshot wounds to the neck, and 62 (48 %) were treated for stab injuries. The study found that 46.2 % of patients after gunshot wounds to the neck and 20.9 % after stab wounds to the neck needed rehabilitation in the remote postoperative period. Most patients, both after gunshot wounds and after stab neck wounds, need psychological help. Such assistance was required in 35 % and 15 % observations, respectively, while medical care was required in 12 % and 6 per cent, respectively. General surgeons, otolaryngologists, thoracic surgeons and psychotherapists should be included in the rehabilitation of patients with neck wounds in the remote postoperative period. |
