| Popis: | Resumo: O objetivo deste trabalho é discutir como a criança adquire a sintaxe de adjetivos qualificativos. Por se tratar de uma categoria flexível, o desafio da aquisição de suas possibilidades sintáticas já é de fato esperado. Através de análise de transcrição de fala espontânea e de retomada de estudos já publicados sobre o assunto, discutiremos a hipótese de que a criança marca inicialmente um parâmetro de ordem, que permite a produção de adjetivos pós-nominais, mas que posteriormente ela precisa rever a aplicação desta regra à sua língua motivada por pistas encontradas em seu input. A ordem adjetivo-nome só surgirá quando houver uma remarcação paramétrica de sua língua de traços que são apenas fracos, com o adjetivo in situ, para uma marcação mais consistente, que pode ser tanto forte quanto fraca. Apresentamos argumentos favoráveis à análise que classifica o português brasileiro como uma língua de traços fortes opcionais, que se aplicam para adjetivos, mas também para WHs e para possessivos. Abstract: The objective of the present study is to discuss the acquisition of the syntax of qualifying adjectives by children. Due to its flexible category, the challenge to acquiring these syntactic possibilities is expected. Based on the analysis of spontaneous speech transcription, and the contributions of published studies on the subject, we raise the hypothesis that although children initially mark a parameter of order, which allows the production of postnominal adjectives, they will need to review the use of this rule in language induced by some clues in their input. The adjective name order will only emerge when a parameter remarking in their language has only weak traits, with an in situ adjective for a consistent marking, which may be either strong or weak. Therefore, we present arguments in favor of an analysis, which classifies Brazilian Portuguese as an optional strong trait language that apply to adjectives, as well as to WHs and to possessives.
