Abstract This study aimed to describe trends in prevalence, awareness, treatment, and control in hypertension in Chengdu from 2000 to 2010. Two community-based cross sectional surveys were conducted among those aged 40–79 years in 2000 (n = 4850) and 2010 (n = 5456).
