Abstract Trauma is a major cause of death worldwide. Interventional radiology provides a set of minimally invasive and effective options that are being integrated as part of the multidisciplinary care plan offered to the trauma patient. However, there are still a lot of areas of development that need to be explored. This article reviews the current role of endovascular interventions in trauma setting, the latest efforts to find the optimum ways to use them and highlights areas of knowledge and gaps in the literature. |
