Popis: Small molecule metabolites like phenylalanine can form amyloid-like structures but so far this has only been demonstrated in vitro. Here the authors generate a yeast in vivo model of adenine self-assembly and characterize the adenine assemblies in cells by indicative amyloid dye and anti-adenine assemblies antibodies.
