| Popis: | The book The Mothers’ Poems, combining the verses of Gabriela Mistral and drawings of the artist Andre Racz, has been reissued by Ediciones Radio Universidad de Chile with the support of the National Council for Culture and the Arts (CNCA) of the Government of Chile in 2015. This is the third edition of the poems and the second in which Racz’s images are included, since it was published for first time in 1950. The theme of motherhood, women, fears and strengths are masterfully described by a woman who could never conceive but devotedly loved children and empathized with women. With such delivery, with his strokes Racz described the delicate and sensitive world of the pregnant woman. Both artists joined in the realization of this book as an expression of love and human solidarity. |
