Popis: Abstract This is a web-based module on the theoretical backgrounds for assessment in education, various types of assessment, formative versus summative assessment, and the use of assessment in medical education. The module also describes issues of reliability and validity of tests, and the use of rubrics in performance-based assessments. There are a number of embedded learning activities and quizzes to help reinforce learning. This module can be used by medical educators to improve their understanding of assessment and assessment skills. A User's Guide containing directions and how to access/run the web-based module is also provided.
