Popis:	The purpose of this article is to focus on the interaction between the evolution of land use and the population in the seaside municipalities of Brittany between 1975 and 2000. During this period of time, the land use data show that great changes occurred. Thus, the urbanized areas increased by 88% and, at the same time, the population grew by only 8%. With a geographical and demographic mixed approach, this article focuses on the interaction between these two parallel evolutions in order to construct a typology reflecting the evolution of Brittany’s seashore.
