Popis:	Due to an increasing lack of doctors in many regions of Germany the location of the ambulatory medical care has become a significant focus of politics and the administration. The report at hand shows the starting conditions of the ambulatory medical care as exemplified within different parts of Hessen. The currently used planning tools of control, especially with respect to its influence on the medical care situation are to be analyzed as well. Based on a critical analysis of the efficiency of these planning tools the focus is put on the currently discussed new action strategies for ensuring and optimizing the ambulatory medical care as a contributing factor in securing equal living conditions throughout Hessen. Finally, this debate will be evaluated.
