Popis: Wax deposition in pipelines and wells is one of the problems in the oil and gas industry. Wax deposition can lead to pipeline blockages, reduced flow capacity, and even production facility or pipeline closures. Various methods and techniques have been developed to mitigate wax deposition, including chemical, mechanical, and thermal methods. Inhibition of wax deposition using chemical methods involves using chemical additives to prevent or reduce wax buildup on pipelines or wellbores. Chemical methods for mitigating wax deposition can include using plant-based inhibitors as effective additives. Biosurfactants, which are surfactants derived from plant-based sources, can be used in chemical methods to address wax deposition issues effectively. Jatropha seeds are rich sources of natural chemicals that can be used to effectively control wax because of the wide variety of natural chemical compounds they contain. This paper aims to provide an overview of the potential of jatropha oil as a wax inhibitor.
