Purpose. This article appears to be essential both from the point of view of theoretical understanding of the processes of transformation of social identity, and from the point of view of practical problem solving related to social human behavior and social groups. The author aims to reveal the category of regional identity through the prism of the life strategies of the informants. Methodology. The study forms a method of semi-structured interview. Results. The results of the study are that regional identity is weakly pronounced and negative in nature due to the adverse factors of formation of territorial communities of the Republic of Komi. Awareness of the complex problems related to economic and transport fragmentation of the region make necessary the formation of regional identity as a mechanism of integration of the community in Russian society. It is also to do with the life strategies, which are built around the region on the principle of a passive observer, lasting only solution to their problems, or the principle of flight from the region. Practical implications. The research materials can be used at the level of activities of Federal, regional and municipal government authorities in the formulation of management decisions, development of territories. |
