Popis:	This article analyzes problems and perspectives of the national historical science in the question of studying ancient Ukrainian history. The author considers that the writing of a new, scientifically credible Ukrainian history of the ancient period is one of the most topical and socially significant tasks of the national historical science and Ukrainian studies at the modern stage.
