Life and Death are wearing me out is a Chinese novel based on the history happened in China during the second half of Twentieth Century. The Spanish version was indirectly translated from English and published in 2009. As an indirect translation from the English version, the Spanish version motivates the task of clarifying the translation strategies of these two translated texts. This clarification was achieved by comparing the two translated versions with the original Chinese text. The primary objective of this research is to reflect on the indirect translation of Chinese Literature to the Spanish with the example of Life and Death are wearing me out. And to reach our objective, we compared and contrasted the cultural elements of the original text with the two translate texts based on the cultural characteristic of this novel in the hope to explore the abundant cultural wealth in this novel. |
