Here is presented the analysis of a trilogy Arithmetic. Such works have circulated for primary and secondary schools inBrazil, in the period between the second half of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the second half of the nineteen hundreds. Movement which comprised nearly a century. This analysis focuses on some characters (garments) that provided a project materialize, becoming a cultural object. These garments methodology will focus herself. Apparently, this trilogy spread a way of teaching Arithmetic that is configured in that context, as an innovator and modernizer. Question arises: How does the author thought the teaching of Arithmetic? That methodological ‘guise’ of education was called for innovative and modernizing the teaching of Arithmetic? |
