Popis: In the ancient Convent of San Francisco in Priego de Córdoba (Spain), declared a Building of Cultural Interest in 2003, and converted into an accommodation facility since 2012, there are examples of render of great value in some rooms, some completely restored and others awaiting restoration. These are decorations with a remarkable aesthetic quality and plasticity. At the entrance to the old convent and in the area that now Reception, there is a magnificent and rare example of Mudejar stucco. Remains of Renaissance render are also present in the cloister access door (polychrome shell). Finally, there are stucco of Baroque taste in the entrance arch of the staircase (with the Order’s arms), and others that delimit the niche on the staircase first floor. They are all made of stucco or coarse plaster modeled “in situ” by local sculptors in the 16th-18th centuries.
