Popis: http://dx.doi.org/10.5902/217976927624 Aim: To describe the stressors in the activity of nurses working in the hospital closed units. Method: This is a descriptive study with qualitative approach, developed with seven nurses working in the Intensive Care Unit and the Surgical Block. Data were collected in July and August 2011, by semi-structured interview and after signing the free and informed consent, using thematic analysis as a tool for interpretation. Results: We found the following themes: physical structure and material resources, interpersonal, and management as a cause of stress. Final Thoughts: The nurse's role is related to human care, which are permeated by bureaucratic activity and care, which may face tricky situations convivial question ethics, values and beliefs.
