Popis: Introduction: Cuboid dislocations are rare injury in the foot. This has led to a lack of published data, with no consensus on how to best fixate this type of injury. There are multiple case reports that have approached this injury with Kirschner wire fixation. This article describes how a complete cuboid dislocation can be treated with bridge plating. Case presentation: A 67-year-old female was involved in a motor vehicle accident in which she sustained multiple injuries including a Lisfranc dislocation and cuboid dislocation of the left foot. A compressive dressing was applied to the patients left lower extremity and her injuries were triaged. The patient's cuboid dislocation was treated with a bridge plating technique. At her 2 month follow up the patient was transitioned to full weight bearing in a tennis shoe and her radiographs showed a maintenance of reduction of her cuboid. Conclusion: Bridge plating the lateral column of the foot provides a stable construct for severe instability of the cuboid. This technique allowed the patient to begin weight bearing sooner while maintaining reduction of the lateral column of the foot. Further research is needed to asses pain and range of motion after removal of the bridge plate.
