Choristoma is defined as the presence of histologically normal tissue located in an abnormal location [1]. Aerodigestive tract choristomas are a rare congenital anomaly and often occur in isolation. Although considered to be a benign mass, the size and location of the choristoma can cause functional or cosmetic morbidities. We present the case of a newborn female found to have two distinct choristomas, one in the oral cavity and one in the oropharynx, after a full-term uncomplicated pregnancy. The occurrence of two distinct upper aerodigestive tract choristomas in the same patient has not been reported in the literature. |
