Popis: Frularaner (Bravecto) is an isoxazoline drug with high insecticidal and acaricidal activity and has no negative effect on dogs when administered orally. The literature contains data indicating different periods of onset of the therapeutic effect and duration of the protective action of the drug. The article presents the re-sults of assessing the time of onset of flea destruction after a single oral administra-tion of fluralaner (Bravecto) to dogs. The experiment involved 60 clinically healthy mongrel dogs of both sexes aged 6-9 months, weighing 12.4-19.2 kg, free of ecto-parasites, of which a single, non-repeated method was used to form an experi-mental and control group of 30 dogs each, which were infected with 100 speci-mens (±5) of C. felis two days before administration of the test drug. Flea counts were performed in pairs of one dog in the control group and one dog in the exper-imental group at 1 hour (±15 min), 2 hours (±15 min), 4 hours (±15 min), 6 hours (±15 min) and 8 hours (±15 min) after oral administration of Bravecto chewable tablets. Six animals were used for each study time. It was found that the onset of fluralaner activity against fleas was noted 4 hours after the administration of Bravecto (efficacy 9.18%), statistically significant reduction in the number of ecto-parasites was recorded at 6 and 8 hours (efficacy 49.46% and 99.16%).
