Popis:	The article introduces the technology of development of critical thinking, and namely “reading with pauses” technique. This very strategy is represented by a “step by step” preparation of a lesson and is based on a book by P. Reynolds “The Dot”. The technique implies the thoughtful work with a text, the development of thinking and speech, the upbringing of a reflective personality.
