Popis: | The aim of the study is to reveal the author’s concept of V. Silvestov’s “Liturgical chants” in the interplay of ideological principles and the contemporary choral writing. To achieve the aim, the following tasks were set: to reveal the author’s concept of V. Silvestov’s “Liturgical chants”; to consider the special features of contemporary choral writing in the composition; to determine the interdependence of ideological principles and the contemporary choral writing. Research methodology. Research papers on the analysis of choral compositions, contemporary writing techniques, creative work of composers were used. The quotes which had been used by researchers in these papers became a basis for preparation of this article. Results. The article reveals the author’s concept of “Liturgical chants”, where the ideological principles and the contemporary choral writing interact according to the following criteria: artist’s personality (his ideological principles, that together outline methodological principles of composition’s «worldview»); contemporary choral writing as a speech level of the artist’s convictions, which is specified in the choral composition by means of external communication; conditioned by means of choral writing of the composer’s ideological principles. Despite the inherent to «Liturgical chants» contemporary way of choral writing (which music language is recognized as a typical Silvestrov’s intonation), this music is a highly spiritual embodiment of the human imagination of God as a Person for communication in the sound-shaped, symbol system of the composer’s creative work. Novelty: the author’s concept of V. Silvestov’s “Liturgical chants” has been considered through the interplay of ideological principles and the contemporary choral writing for the first time. The practical significance. The material of the article can be used by lecturers as optional materials for the major training courses. Moreover, the subject of research will help the students of higher education institutions in process of studying at the choral conducting class, practicing with a choir and choral compositions analysis. |
