Popis: Objective: This quasi-experimental study aims to determine the effect of discharge training given to patients who underwent pilonidal sinus surgery using the primary closure method, on Gordon’s functional health patterns. Method: The sample of the study consisted of 70 patients. Patients in the intervention group were exposed to discharge training given by one of the researchers using a tablet computer and a training booklet based on functional health patterns was handed to patients to straighten the training. The control group was exposed to routine clinical nursing care and patient information. The efficacy of discharge training was evaluated using a checklist developed by researchers. Both groups of patients were phoned on postoperative days by the researcher.
