From 1906, the industrialist Louis Renault has been establishing a huge estate (1,700 ha) at Herqueville and in its surroundings. By doing this, he pursued several objectives which lead him to modify the organization, the structure and the building of the farms. A mix between tradition and innovation made of this estate an original unit with its monumental entrances, its towers-silos, its paddocks for bulls or its special green painting « vert Billancourt » which are next to preserved or newly constructed traditional buildings. |
