The paper “The assimilation of the Roma people during the communist regime’’ aims to present the disadvantages and, in some case, the advantages of the Roma community during the communist regime. After the deportation in Transnistria, the Roma people are targeted now by a new set of rules that will diminish the cultural identity of their community in exchange for a more integrated concept through the ‘’romanianization’’ process . |
