Popis: | Activist, historian, poet, translator, Elias Sanbar is perhaps above all a writer. Writer of memory, writer “in love with Palestine”, he depicts his exilic experience in this interview. In the first place, a forced exile when his family was compelled to leave Palestine in 1948; and then a self-imposed exile as the return journey to his homeland became possible but not compulsory, and when one acquired the taste of the circulation between spaces, and different societies, and when the exile becomes an opportunity to broaden one’s life horizon rather than as a loss. |
