Creating material values is ever more the result of nonmaterial factors, and the production is based on knowledge, skills and innovativeness of employees. This increase of the share of knowledge in a newly created value is the main characteristic of the new economy of the 21st century, which is called the Knowledge Economy. In the past, the necessary resources to achieve social development and growth were capital, natural resources and work, while in today’s economy, based on knowledge, the importance is shifting towards intellectual potential, especially intellectual property. This resource has become a very powerful tool and the foundation for creating other values in modern business. In line with new trends, successful future and a path of growth and development of each country, and Serbia as well, is the economy which is based on the protected intellectual knowledge. |
