Analysis of environmental sustainability in a beverage industry: a focus on production process

Popis: One of the main causes of environmental impacts in industries is the production process, responsible for waste that can cause extensive damage to the environment. The objective of this study is to analyze the environmental sustainability of a beverage industry, focusing on its production process. To achieve the objective of this article presents a case study of exploratory, qualitative and quantitative approach. The study was divided into three phases, the first being the theoretical basis, the second phase of the analysis of sustainability, and the third and final phase of the implementation of the Plan summary environmental management 5W2H. The results indicate that the company has a good environmental sustainability, but has aspects to be improved. As regards the process, the result of environmental sustainability was considered good, but the company provided point deficit that undermined their results, and therefore can be improved and, consequently, improve the overall sustainability of the beverage industry.
