[Purpose/Significance]Social commerce research presents the characteristics of interdisciplinary studies, because of which ts research perspectives, research methods and research content are in a more decentralized state. This study aims to review the current social commerce research and presents the, analysis of its development and characteristics. [Method/Process] We first obtained Chinese and English journal papers published from 2010 to 2019 from CNKI, CSSCI, SCIE, SSCI databases. We then discussed the current progress and characteristics of social commerce research from time distribution, theme changes, high citation papers, and high-frequency keywords. [Results/Conclusions] We believe that there are still some topics that can be excavated in the study of social commerce: Firstly, we need to further explore such user behavior research topics as user perception and the strategy choices, and business management, technical support and information research in social commerce context. Secondly, the research theory has presented a certain interdisciplinary perspective, and we can find and explain the practical problems in social commerce from the perspective of more subject areas. Thirdly, the applicability of computer science, information science and psychology research methods to the field of social commerce can be discussed and studied. |
