This paper presents numerical modeling of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensors for cancerous cell detection by employing tin selenide allotrope (SnSe) and tungsten disulfide (WS2). The structure is based on the Kretschmann configuration that is coated with a gold metallic film to excite the surface plasmons. In this study, we have considered different cancerous cells that contain both healthy and affected cells for the detection process. The transfer matrix method is exploited to analyze the performance parameters at a 633 nm wavelength. Initially, the thickness of bimetallic layers is optimized by observing the sensor parameters. Furthermore, the numerical analysis is performed and results show that the maximum attained parameters for the proposed sensor are a sensitivity of 236.43deg/RIU, quality factor of 70.3 RIU−1 and detection accuracy of 1.5. Finally, the field distribution of the proposed sensor is executed by using two-dimensional Opti-FDTD software. |
