The Black Sea region is one of the unique geopolitical regions which features various forms of integration. However, the integration poses a number of difficulties which are an obstacle to the creation of effective integration model. Continuous balancing between different centers of power, such as the EU, the USA, Russia and Turkey, the lack of clear classification and definition features in the framework of integration associations and organizations, unstable political situation, «protracted» conflicts, and the lack of stable economic growth rates lead to the conclusion that the integration process in the Black Sea region is not successful. |
