Pandemic children, a half-truth

Popis: The article presents some analyzes of children's psychological development in the pandemic period in the context of Cuban society from a historical-cultural approach. From the methodology of clinical case studies that offers the possibility of a content analysis, the following results could be reached. The theoretical and methodological assumptions of a cultural-historical approach give us the possibility of scrutinizing objective and subjective conditions, surpassing empirical generalizations. The pandemic situation, causing a radical change in the way of relating, requires the organization of compensation mechanisms that allow promoting children's psychological development until after the confinement period has ended. The learnings extracted from these analyzes can help predict the future, shaped by interpersonal relationships in the digital environment, as occurred during the COVID-19 confinement.
