The article reveals the source and research potential of documents of the personal fund No. 79 Tychyna Pavlo Hryhorovych (1891-1967) - Ukrainian poet, literary critic, linguist, translator, state and public figure from the collection of the Institute of Manuscript of Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. The purpose of the proposed research is to unlock the informational potential of the manuscripts of the poet’s fund, with a special emphasis on the autographs of his artistic, research and journalistic works. The research methodology combines application of methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization, classification and systematization, induction and deduction, narrative, historical-typological, historical-problematic, historical-comparative, historical-systemic, historical-genetic, retrospective, textological and interpretive. The features of the author’s creative work are identified and traced (poetry structure, stanza organization, spelling, accents, text formatting, underlining, handwriting). Number of aspects important for dating and determining the circumstances of the manuscripts creation (ink color, paper features), are considered. The content of numerical designations in three documents and their purpose are clarified. Assumptions regarding the origin of autographs with excerpts of poetic works, are made. Signs, similar to musical ones, on the autograph sheets could depict an increase or decrease in ideological “volume”, the development of a theme or its slowing down. A general analysis of the specific composition of the fund’s documents indicates the main activity of the fund creator. The source value of the fund’s manuscripts has been established. |
