Based on survey data conducted in 2015 on Cameroonian citizens and households, this paper analyzes the effects of social interaction on Internet use for researching information in relation to studies. The estimate of the econometric model shows that there is a social multiplier of 1.79. From a public policy perspective, the presence of the influence of the social network implies that a policy aimed at improving the search for information in relation to studies is likely to have an overall effect greater than the sum of the individual effects predicted in the absence of social interaction. |
