Popis: The article considers the stylistic features of the symphonic work „Concert Music” by S. Pyslar. The genre of the concerto for orchestra served as the prototype for this work. The genre genesis is manifested in a special organization of composition with the leading role of concert principles, which are implemented, first of all, in the field of timbre-textured strategies. Increased attention to timbre, rhythm, textured pattern pushes the melodic factor into the background. The author applies the technique of concerting of small orchestral groups, introducing brief solo replicas-inserts in a dialogical presentation. The traditional solo virtuosity is replaced by the concert virtuosity of the orchestra. The main performing principle of the concert as a genre refers to the timbral aspect of the composition.
