The article discusses one of the most important problems – the development of linguistic thinking, which is a meta-skill that allows students to successfully master the system and structure of the language. At the moment, the potentialities of occasionalisms in the process of improving logical- linguistic operations as a component of the linguistic abilities of primary school children are far from fully disclosed. The author focuses on the applied aspect of this problem. The article reflects the results of an experiment aimed at identifying the effectiveness of the use of word-formation occasionalisms in the development of linguistic thinking. Examples of tasks that contribute to the development of such components of linguistic thinking as the ability to draw simple analogies, the ability to highlight essential features, and the ability to classify are presented. |
