| Popis: | Rayleigh wave dispersion has been observed along the three profilesTrieste-Olbia, Olbia-Bologna and Olbia-Bolzano, in central-northern Italy.The interpretation of phase velocities indicates a crustal thickness increasingfrom East (25-30 km, Trieste-Olbia) to West (30-35 km, Olbia-Bolzano).For each profile two values of the Moho depth are acceptable; the shallowerone is associated with a set of models which have low velocitymaterial (¡3=4.3 lcm/s) just under or within a few km from the Moho;the deeper one still accepts low velocity material ((3=4.4 km/s) underthe Moho but does not exclude the presence of an almost normal LIDabove the low velocity channel. |
