Popis: Using mice with disrupted neuropeptide signaling, Hughes et al. show that daily scheduled voluntary exercise (SVE) promotes suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN) clock cell synchrony and robust 24 h rhythms in behavior. This study suggests the potential utility of regular exercise as a non-invasive intervention for the elderly or mentally ill, where circadian rhythms can be poorly aligned to the external world.
