Popis: | The paper is devoted to the philosophical and theological as well as mathematical ideas of Nicholas of Cusa (1401–1464). He was a mathematician, but first of all a theologian. Connections between theology and philosophy on the one side and mathematics on the other were, for him, bilateral. In this paper we shall concentrate only on one side and try to show how some theological ideas were used by him to answer fundamental questions in the philosophy of mathematics. |
