The process of solving and investigating criminal cases in the current context of state and law development is a very complex task that cannot be accomplished without a qualitative and effective combination of pr ocedural and criminalistic t ools. One of the most contentious issues of modern criminal proceedings is undoubtedly the use of a polygraph as an investigative tool. The article analyzes juvenile delinquency, which has tended to decline over the past five years in our country, but despite some positive dynamics, there are crimes that are often committed precisely by minors. The research methodology includes general scientific principles of cognition: descriptive-analytical, interdisciplinary and formal-legal approaches. The disagreement of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation to apply polygraph testing forces investigative bodies to look for new forms of applying the results of such examinations. Today, there is a need to optimize the detection and investigation of crimes committed by adolescents in order to deter and prevent juvenile criminal behavior. As a result of the study, a proposal is made to legislate the examination of juveniles by a polygraph examiner in conjunction with a psychologist and define the lower chronological age for adole scents. |
