Popis: Over the next 40 years, a drastic increase in the world's population is expected, from 6.7 billion in 2009 to 9.2 billion by 2050. This demographic growth will be accompanied by economic development, leading to an increased demand for meat, dairy products, fruits, and vegetables (Halliday et al., 2009). Consequently, there will be growing pressure to produce sufficient quantities of food. Current assumptions suggest that food production will need to double by 2050, utilizing existing and likely diminished resources due to irresponsible use. A plausible solution to this issue involves introducing the concept of sustainable agricultural production or sustainable land management. This implies that agriculture must be sustainable on a global and local level.
