The fundamental objective of this work is to emphasise the importance of the process and dynamics of struggle of the Sarayaku people in the construction of autonomy, transcending the frameworks aimed at encapsulating the indigenous autonomies that the Ecuadorian state has offered. To do this, we will structure this work in four moments. Initially, we will carry out a contextualisation of the extractive reality in the Amazon, to later propose a small genealogy on how the struggle for autonomy has developed in Sarayaku. We will continue with an analysis of the main conflictive dimensions that the struggle for autonomy presents in Ecuador, to end with the presentation of the autonomic path recently adapted by the Sarayaku community. |
