Popis: | Childhood eye injuries are one of the most common preventable monocular vision loss causes and comprise almost one third of all eye injuries in all ages. Etiology, mechanism, healing responses, and prognostic indicators are different from those in adults. Despite all recent techniques and supplies, functional outcome is usually poor. After successful anatomical outcome is achieved, children should be followed up for long years in order to prevent and overcome amblyopia. Vision loss due to eye injuries causes many problems for both individuals and community. Therefore, proper education of parents, teachers, and children is essential to prevent childhood eye injuries.
