This article deals with some transformations in translation that arise inevitably during the transfer of information from one language to another and provides to the researchers wide empirical material for linguistic analysis. In order to achieve a pragmatic adaptation of the text, translators, invariably, have to resort to all sorts of translation «tricks». However, no matter what the transformation a translator carried, they should always be motivated and do not lead to the changes in the pragmatic aspect of speech. The researcher who has chosen for himself this way of the analysis when the translations are used as the language material must always remember that between the texts of the original language and the translation there is only «conditional equivalence» due to the mismatch of semantic systems of being compared linguocultures. It sometimes happens that the translation which is a secondary type of information surpasses the original text in the form of presentation of the material. An experienced translator can express more logically a passage of the original text, sometimes even unknowingly, maintaining the maximum value of the source text.When using the translation as a source of linguistic researches it is necessary to overcome occasional error and subjectivity allowed by the author. This overcoming will be achieved by basing on the statistical data. And only in the situation when some phenomena, forms, meanings, categories are found enough frequency in the translated texts of different authors (moreover in relatively identical terms), we can talk about the correspondence between the system and structural arrangements of two languages. |
