This article reflects about the cycles of circulations and holding time in three particular contexts: the waiting room of the consular services of France in Bogota during the visa request process; the internment of airports of the European Union centers, where Colombians who traveled with false documents were held; Paris as a transitory city within the migration itinerary, a city that ended up becoming a residential place for immigrants from South America. The meeting point among these three sceneries is found in the administrative reasons that led the people to a “hold on” state, a worldwide context which ranks the individuals according to their mobility and whether this is negative, doubtful or positive. |
